Body Safety & Consent — Free Resource Collection
Body Safety and Consent Education aims to empower children with skills and knowledge that will lessen the likelihood of them becoming victims of childhood sexual abuse. It is known that approximately 20% of girls, and 8% of boys will experience sexual abuse before their 18th birthday (Pereda, et al, 2009). That is equivalent to 6 girls and 1 boy in each class of 30 students! These are horrific statistics, but through early education we can make a difference.
Teaching children about Body Safety and Consent from an early age will also help them to develop Respectful Relationships as they grow into adults, and be more considerate of others knowing that everyone has the right to feel safe.

Social & Emotional Intelligence — Free Resource Collection
Teaching children strategies on how to cope with challenging situations will help their self-confidence as they grow into adulthood. Learning to recognise how another is feeling, showing kindness, and taking the time to really listen, develops our ability to connect to one another in compassionate and meaningful ways. A child who is encouraged to be socially and emotionally intelligent from an early age will grow to be a confident, thoughtful and caring person.
